Have to admit that I'm not as confident as you.

As well as this team has drafted at most positions, the O line has been a cluster fuck the entire time they have been here and that was before they shipped off their pro bowl caliber center.

Definitely not true. It certainly was not a big issue 2010-2012, especially in '12 when RW & Lynch combo busted on the scene and made that late season charge to the playoffs and a FG away from the NFCC. It's been an eyesore the last couple years, and that's mainly due to injuries, particularly to the guys that are no longer here.

But I certainly agree there's work to do. You can't be great every year at every position group in a salary cap league, but OL is one of those places that should be prioritized over many others. That's why I've been mostly anti-WR early in this draft. Lockett looks like a gamer who should contribute right away as a returner, but to me he's that shiny object that distracts us away from using that chance to build up that front line that protects our franchise QB and paves the way for our bell cow RB. Hopefully help is on the way later today.

in 2012 you had McQuistan and Giacomini on the right side and Moffitt/carpenter at LG.

That Lynch and Wilson have been able to overcome the ineptness of the line doesn't remove how inconsistent they have been.

Unger was the one real bright spot of that line and now we traded him away. Okung is good, when he's healthy but that's been an issue. Who else has been worth a piss?

Sorry, not agreeing with you here. The line hasn't been good for some time and I do not have faith they will shore it up in these late rounds.

There was a report that the Seahawks tried to trade up to the 100 pick the Titans had today. Titans didn't take the deal and used the pick instead. The two picks the Seahawks could of traded today were 130 and 248 or combo of 2016 picks. With that pick, the Titans took Auburn DT Angelo Blackson. The Hawks might of been targeting someone else if they had moved up.

Yeah, I'm aware of the players we had in 2012. Maybe not all stars individually but they played pretty well overall, especially down the stretch. I think you're being a prisoner of the moment to a degree, but I'm with you the line needs help.

Makes you wonder if the 3rd player they said they really wanted was still available.

Last night they said there were 3 they really wanted and they got 2 of them and wouldn't name the 3rd. Makes you wonder.

As for taking Lockett, they said last night he was the top returner in the draft and clearly wanted to target him.

As much as people want to compare him to Richardson in terms of receiving, they filled a hole that was obvious for this team all year. Shoring up the return game was obviously a high priority.

We are a ball control team and field position plays a big part. Lockette improves our team immediately.

Seems like he's either being looked at as a potential LG or the eventual replacement for Okung if not re-signed.

Many saying he'll move inside in the NFL. So there you go. Nice G prospect to develop. Exactly what we need.

Well the Seahawks addressed the OL. We'll have to see how they work out.

All right, I'm liking it so far today. Don't know a thing about either guy, but I'm a fan of pouring talent into the OL when we already are set nearly everywhere else.

Both our 4th rounders did visit the VMAC so they were on the Seahawks radar for sure in the pool of lineman they were targeting. So both were not reaches at all. They were players the Seahawks were targeting.
