Because anyone stepping into a big time program like Tenn or Auburn knows that nothing is guaranteed there unless they have 8+ wins a season. Nothing less will be tolerated in this league for more then a season or two.

Because anyone stepping into a big time program like Tenn or Auburn knows that nothing is guaranteed there unless they have 8+ wins a season. Nothing less will be tolerated in this league for more then a season or two.

Let's just be honest. While the Tennessee fan base is more patient than the Auburn fan base, they still expect you to beat Florida and Alabama four years out of every five. Dooley was doomed after that Florida game. He was fired before he even lost to Alabama this year. However, it was too early in the season to get another coach.

No, he has a five show cause penalty so he technically could coach but i don't think any school will risk it, especially since the NCAA could find violations with any school if they just looked hard enough.
