WrestleMania 34 brings WWE back to New Orleans in 2018

Two times in five years? I get that they want to do it in more touristy locations, there are other places that could work well (I'm sure many were considered but the logistics/timing/pricing didn't work)...

Thinking of some new places where a WM might work:

-LA - current Rams stadium (although older) or wait till new one in 2019
-Vegas, when the new Raiders stadium is built
-Hawaii - Aloha Stadium holds 50K+, although with time zone differences it would be early afternoon there
-San Diego - Qualcomm Stadium or Petco Park
-Montreal - Olympic Stadium

New Orleans probably made the best offer, everyone now bids to host WM and whatever they offered WWE was probably far greater than whoever else was in the running.

According to F4WOnline.com, WWE officials decided a few weeks back that New Orleans would be the host city for WrestleMania 34 in 2018. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that 15 cities were in the running, including Philadelphia and St. Louis.

As for the city of New Orleans, officials really wanted WrestleMania back in the city as they prepare to celebrate their 300th year. NOLA city officials reportedly pitched to WWE that WrestleMania would be featured as a part of their tricentennial celebration and that was enough to sell WWE officials on the idea. The other cities were being considered but none could offer what NOLA was offering with their tricentennial celebration.
