Broncos believe that WR Emmanuel Sanders tore his Achilles during practice today, per source. Team usually can tell right away, but it will conduct tests on Sanders to confirm. But early belief is torn Achilles.

Yah....even as we're clawing back into things, I've had my doubts. Now we lost 2 of our 3 best players in 4 days, and I think this is about over.

I personally can't say I'm gonna cry if we lose out because when all is said and done, I don't want VJ to hold onto his job for another season. I just don't....

The sad part is we will still win games but not enough to make the playoffs but enough to be picking at 18 or worse

The remaining games were never a sure thing anyway. All 4 are still winnable games. Sanders will definitely be missed and it’s hard to see how this team can keep moving forward with so many injuries, but they’ve shown so much fight (even before we really started to notice) that I have confidence they are not going to roll it up.

It seems some times give up when injuries start to pile up and other teams just keep rolling. I want the Broncos to be the latter.

Maybe it's just me but I never, ever want the Broncos to lose. Not to get a better draft pick, not to show a coach the door or anything else. I want a winning culture at all times. Period. It's important for long term success for players to know how to win. Tanking won't get ya there.

I know there are many that don't agree with this but that's just how I feel.

I’m with you @MileHigh64. This makes me want to see the Broncos win even more now because bringing back the same HC and QB next year can only be good for this team. We’ve transitioned HC or QB or both every year since going into the 2015 season. Regardless of outcome the remainder of 2018, I think this young team with young play makers getting snaps can only bode well going into next year.

Plus I still like our chances of reaching the playoffs at 10-6. This Broncos team hasn’t quit on itself and has made me proud to cheer for them.

Andre Holmes claimed off waivers. Hopefully our young draft picks will relegate Holmes to a depth role only. This team can still win games, even without Sanders.

So you were really pissed when KC won last year and we drafted Chubb.:thumb:

I have never wanted to lose a game until they no longer count unless it is sticking it to KC or Oakland. So yes even I was pissed we lost the last game last year but it soooooooooooooooooooooooo paid to lose to KC.

I love Bradley Chubb but the draft is a total crap shoot. The Broncos lucked out when the Browns passed on Chubb to be honest.

The Patriots have had the last couple of picks in the draft for a decade but somehow continue to remain relevant. Outside of a franchise QB, a great coach and a weak division....it's the culture of winning that has helped them stay there, despite their draft position. Just my opinion.

My take on this...

At no point in any season do I ever want to see the Broncos lose. I don’t want to see players tanking or phoning it in or the organization jockeying for draft position. However once the dust settles and the draft positions are set I am going to enjoy the benefit of a higher draft pick and hope like hell the Broncos hit on it.

The Broncos don’t have seasons like 2017 very often. The last time they did was 2010’s 4-12 debacle. That got us Von Miller. While I wasn’t rooting for 5-11 even as the team slid to 3-9 by this point last year, once the season was over the silver lining was being in position to take a difference maker. It appears they did.

We still got this. As great as E-Sanders is, his biggest contributions are clutch sideline grabs on game-tying or game-winning drives. The onus is on the defense to make the big stops earlier in games. I love the momentum they have coming out of the Stillers win. Sutton and Hamilton have to step up on the offensive side of the ball. Could also see Lindsay used more in a slot-type role.

Other teams clawing for the 5-6 seeds are also dealing with key injuries.
