From all the articles I keep reading on Bengals.com and comments from Gruden...it is shaping up like this:
#1 - AJ Green
#2 - Armon Binns / Brandon Tate
In the running for #2 eventually - Sanu and Marvin Jones
On the bubble for last spot: Shipley and Hawkins
Are we really in jeopardy of losing one of Shipley or Hawkins?
I know if we wanted to we could PUP Shipley, but from all sounds he is real close to 100% right now.
Gruden is loving him some Binns and Tate right now. He is insisting that Tate is bigger, stronger and faster than last yearand almost if not back at his 4.4 speed before his knee injury.
I guess it is a nice problem to have, but on the same aspect, I had not seen enough of Tate to inspire me to want to part with Shipley or Hawkins. I guess Binns has been lighting the CB's up, not saying that will not be typical for any WR in the league this year, but he is having one of the best camps as of right now according to Gruden.
How much of this is lip service, and how much are we goign to have to prepare to lose a really good slot guy in Shipley or Hawkins? Almost like they are trying to prepare us for it now so it is not a shock later.
