This is what they needed. Losing Mayo is brutal but Wilfork is the key. Not saying Sopoaga is the answer but he is better then nothing. I think when Kelly comes back the DT rotation will be solid.

The Eagles traded him and a 6th for a 5th...no brainer. If it helps it's good and if it doesn't at least they tried.

hopefully it fixes the gap in middle of the dline and hes under contract for 3 yrs so him playing with wilfork and mayo when the get back next yr dline will be awesome

Great move. Solid player who is going to add some depth. I expect to see Kelly and Jones to start, with Vellano and Soap filling in. Also add a very good solid DL next yr also, esp with Vince back.

good pickup for the price. dude benched 42 reps at the combine. he will help fix the run d for teams that spam the run against us,i dont see him starting unless its a run heavy offense were playing. goaline and short yardage he will be a huge help.

Armstead contracted a serious, antibiotic resistant infection that has kept him out. I will be surprised if he contributes this year at all - I think they'll probably move him to a season ending list any day now.

However, he was basically a rookie. It'd be nice if they could get him out there this year, since he fills a need, but they should expect him to come back in shape next year, if he really wants to be an NFL player.
