I'm not convinced Eiffert can stay healthy when a playoff run is at stake.

I am not sure there is a playoff run at stake with a 2-14 team and a rookie QB. Joe Burrow was an animal last year, but this is the NFL and AFC North football. He is going to have a learning curve. I would plan more on the 2018 Joe Burrow, than the 2019 Joe Burrow in year one. It would be nice to have the pieces in place though for year two, so I like the way they are cutting dead weight, adding talent in FA and hopefully draft well come end of April to help set us up for 2021. One more free agency and one more draft with a QB with experience.

Well, Joe Burrow is no Andy Dalton! hahaha

I don't know, I am excited about the potential of the season, but I guess as a Bengals fan for 35 years I feel the need to not put myself out there too much. I feel there is going to be so much pressure on Burrow, and his need to have to learn a new system, new players, adjust to the speed of the game..probably a f'ed up off-season program and maybe even training camp...I just think cautious optimism is my best course of action.

A New Dey in Bengaldom?

In the past 5 seasons - Cincinnati has spent a combined 49.98M on free agents from other teams - or roughly 10M a year.

This year alone, the Bengals have spent 127M.

Now, remains to be seen how they do, but the DT, 2 CB's, and the S are all solid signings at the time they got them.

Just saw the Vonn Bell from the Saints signing. Decent safety that tends to recover a lot of fumbles - something sorely needed with this group.

well, we should at least be able to beat the Browns now.
They've had a decent F/A period as well.

Of course, they are still the Browns - so, yeah, ya know.

I mean, we normally beat the Browns anyway. Hell, we beat them last year and we only won 2 games all of last year.
