I think you should do a bit more than post a 'Comment on this' thread title and re-post an article.
Personally I have no problem with watching multiple games of a particular sport on any particular day. Choice is good. I don't have kids or a strong personal family tradition so Christmas isn't a big day/time for me. I'm also fine with news, old films, quiz shows, no sport whatsoever, or no tv if it comes to it. Others should be free to spend their day as they see fit.

If I still lived near my parents, I would be there for Christmas. Since I live 800 miles away and go home the week of New Years, I don't have much else to do on Christmas anyways.

Probably the game I'll remember most is the Buttfumble game.

The hostess was chastising everyone for laughing so hard. Her husband said, "But it's the JETS!"

My family does Xmas Eve. By 12:01AM Christmas day, my holiday season is officially over.

....so hell yeah I will watch.

But I am unlike most. I hate both giving and receiving gifts. So naturally I hate Xmas. So this is great news for me.

You realize that Christmas is on a Sunday this year right? Teams that dont play on Christmas have to play on short rest and play on Saturday.

I don't like getting gifts and I don't like giving gifts because I'm supposed to.
Why should I give an adult a birthday gift?
Isn't Christmas supposed to be about Christ? Not commercialism?
Suffering through an anniversary is bad enough without having to pay for it!
And finally, Damn all those diamond commercials!

My birthday is in October. When my older brother started dating his wife, he sent me a gift for my birthday (I know it was her idea).

His birthday is in Nov. I shipped the gift back to him.

That was the last time I received a birthday gift from anyone other than my mother.

NFL on X-mas day? Sounds good to me. I’ll watch some for sure. Not much else to do. Family has a lunch on that day and we usually have some drinks, so bring on the games!
