Would you trade Scheffler to the Patriots? And what would be the price if you did?

The Patriots are hurting for a quality pass catching TE right about now! I like Scheffler but think he has under performed his talent in Detroit. The Lions are well set at TE. They have Furia that could handle Schefflers roll in Detroit's offense. Maybe I am being optimistic but Detroit's TE situation would be solid even without Scheffler.

If the Patriots offered a 3 or 4th I would probably pull the trigger. Get a decent pick and save some salary.

I don't think you could get a 5th for Tony. But if you could, sure, deal him. (I'm refraining from getting personal with this, out of respect for his wife)

I'd rather have Scheffler than a 3rd.

The Patriots have Jake Ballard, and two guys who used to play for the Rams backing up Gronk and Hitman Hernandez. They most likely wouldn't want Sheff. These are the Pats we are talking about. They don't get caught with their pants down like most teams. They are always planning ahead.

If we could get a 3rd or a 4th, sure, trade him, but realistically that's not likely to happen for a 30 year old TE.

I think he's worth more to our offense than anyone is going to be willing to give up for him...

No Way. Fauria is unproven and none of the other guys can catch and/or hold on to the football.

Yes. For a 5th rounder and a 5th of Jose Cuervo.

scheffler was essentially our #3 receiver, and was pretty servicable. No 3rd round pick can do what scheffler did

I think most 3rd rounders would do much more. Much, much more. I also don't think at any point in his career that he was worth a 3rd rounder though.

Can we get our first round pick back for Pettigrew?

If it'd been this year, not only could we have replaced Peterman, but also Ravioli. A secondary option "deep threat" tight end who's not much of a blocker whatsoever Id gladly exchange for that. I also don't like the guy in the first place...

The Pats seem to have a ton of TEs but if they were looking, I would have them send us a player, not a draft pick. Preferably a linebacker.

I would definitely trade him. It's the final year of his contract and I doubt he's back. Take the value while there is some.

Tony Sheffler for Jerod Mayo, sounds like a winner to me.

I'd trade him for a 5th. I like him a lot, but he was definitely off his game last year. Also I really like Fauria. Add in that I'd rather see Broyles on the field than Scheffler.
