He's not allowed. Even with as streaky and lost in the cosmos as he was last year he has to come back, because having Leighton as our #1 is just plain scary.
If you want to call having 1 good month out of a whole season streaky i guess so.
The team play in front of him certainly helped him out...
Hey the Canucks seem to have a goalie available. If that doesn't workout you guys can have Dipietro for 1 puck.:
and he certainly didnt help them out. I live in NYC and Bryz is the butt of every goalie joke every night of the season and i would love to prove them wrong but after what i saw last season i dont have an argument.
Bryz did not make our defense bad, but our defense certainly played a huge role in Bryz's play.
Also, LOL @ Rangers fans. I am sure they think the more money you have invested in overrated "star" power the better your team is
And FWIW, if in some alternate dimension Bryz does not come back, Luongo would interest me. He is still a great goalie IMO. Wouldn't trade a lot for him though, that is Vancouver's problem.
he might not have made the defense bad, but at time's he made it look bad.. i put most of the rags losses that he played in, on him, because he would tune out after the flyers spent 17 minutes in the offensive zone and then the next 3 shots the rags took would go in
no sense in arguing now though, bryz turned a corner in march and will be better in 2013-2014

Lets not forget about that great play he had bouncing it of the Devils forward into our net and that great series he had vs Pitt.
i'm not gunna fault him in the devils series, aside from that one gaff (big one granted) he was one of the better flyers in that series
the pens series was a joke all the way around though.. but it went about how i expected it to.. high scoring, flyers dominate (until they took their foot off the pedal)

that and his 7mil cap hit.. i'd still be interested though, he's a good goalie

You do know Lunquist won the vezina and us a finalist every year right? Let's not forget about Devils fans and having Brobuer around year after year, there's plenty of Devils fans here also.
I cant say I really remember any of those God forsaken Rangers games (Still havent even watched episode 4 of the HBO series yet...), but at least we can agree he'll be better next time there is play
I knew the length of his contract was bad, but didnt realize he was at 7 million. Nevermind...
Bryz was our best player that series. And if you actually want to base a player's series off of one play, then I could make the Flyers an ECHL team.
I mentioned the overpayed Rangers thing as a joke, if this is what you are talking about. I dont get how Lundqvist and Brodeur come in to play here. If anyone actually expected Bryz to be that calibre, then I am not surprised they are upset.
When we signed Bryz to that terrible contract all of those fans were laughing and i stuck up for him and then he played like crap all year except for march and the Devils series and my argument went right out the window.
