Hawks fans are touchy. I'm sort of hoping they'll settle down next season now that they've actually won something. Hell I loved watching the Skins roll the Broncos in 88 but I can acknowledge it was a shitty game. The Broncos just fell apart completely. That one was over by halftime too. They happen. They used to happen a lot. We've been fairly lucky in recent years to see some good ones.

Don't be naive, he's not a Seahawk fan, just someone posing as one. In fact his favorite team is the 49ers. Check it out.

I'm getting a little sick and tired of some of the posters spewing the "all the Hawks fans will think this is great, not boring, yada, yada," crap on these boards. Every fanbase on here has 1 or 2 posters that say some stupid shit but the majority have been pretty respectful and honest in their assessment. I haven't seen a lot of my fellow Seahawk's fans saying this was some great game from an entertainment standpoint. Myself and most of us like Harold and Wizard freely admit that it wasn't the most entertaining SB and was over from the start. Worst ever is subjective. There are so many bad ones to choose from. Actually, most of the SB's have been a disappointment and a blow-out and more often than not the Conf. CG has been better on both sides.

A few games come to mind that are similar and have been mentioned,

Steve Young's trouncing of Seau and the Chargers is definitely up there.
The Cowboys/ Bills first one was awful, too.
The 85 Bears might be included but I'm not sure I would agree but that's just me. I love great defense and the Bears were so dominant that year, defense wise. I was also happy to see the late great Walter Payton get his ring. How that team had their one loss to the Dolphins is mind-boggling but I guess some football gods must have had a say.
'00 Ravens/Giants but who really expected anything from Kerry Collins vs. Ray Lewis and that D?
This one was absolutely not competitive but historically speaking, it will be remembered as a defensive gem. For a team to do that to this Broncos team with these weapons and an all-time great QB is memorable even if it wasn't entertaining. They didn't do this to a Steve Grogan or Kerry Collins.

Ironic, huh? :)

I'll stand by my opinion that this was the worst ever, but it is close. The Cowboys - Bill the first time comes to mind as does the SB with the '85 Bears and 49er's vs. Chargers.

That was the first time I've seen any Seahawk fan say something like that and two of our base called him out on it. I haven't seen any of your base call out fans who are elitist and arrogant.

There is nothing to be elitist about. All we did was 'watch' a team we like win a championship. And if they win 5 more and have 6 rings we sill just 'watched' them do it. Saying your team was the best in any year is one thing, but telling others they don't have a right to say their opinion because the team they follow hasn't achieved some level yours has is just plain stupid. And I have no problem telling any Seahawk fan that if they go down that road.

Not that this matters much Harold, but he had the Hawks under his avi first and then changed it. A troll for sure...ignore.

Not.

Some things are just meant to be, the SB started as the match between the NFL and AFL, and it should remain so. Often the Conference finals are the best games, the Hawks Niners and Denver Pats games this year were much better than the SB, that's just how it rolls.

:agree:

There's no system that could guarantee with absolute certainty that the final game of the year would always be the best one. Even if they completely changed the playoff structure so two NFC teams or two AFC teams ended up in the Super Bowl we'd still get blowouts from time to time and in hindsight people will say the previous playoff games were better or more competitive.

No one was predicting a blowout in this Super Bowl. In fact, Seattle was the underdog. On paper it was a dream match up but with hindsight being 20/20 people wanna complain about a lopsided match up after the fact. The playoff and Super Bowl structure is fine. Changing how the playoffs work won't really change anything.

sure he is older and near the end of a career but this is still a very childish and uneducated bravado piece of crap remark

rj, you have no place to refer to other posters as uneducated, especially in the game of football.

Seattle merely showed you are full of crap and have no idea of what you preach.
Try another less popular sport.

I've always hated blowouts in the SB but this time I certainly enjoyed it when it was my team dishing out the punishment. I can definitely appreciate anyone without a dog in the fight being bored with that game though, it was over by halftime.

It was over before halftime
