.323/.369/.551/.920, 7 HRDon't forget Wheeler was a young kid When traded. He had only one year with a higher than 4 era in his career. Much better than 3 months of a old player that sucked so bad that they didn't even bother resigning.
That is one hell of a line for someone who “sucked so bad”. Granted, he showed up and almost immediately went on the DL and by the time he got back the team was out of contention, so his numbers didn’t mean anything, but he did hit well in the short time he was with us. I also believe he was not a great locker room fit, but I am not certain if that was based on anything, or just a narrative told here.
