Yeah that was a minor salvage of the game for the Rangers. I mean Affeldt, you got Hamilton 3-2 and a 7 run lead.

Not Really - some deal from our Cablevision provider. Looks like they made a a deal with MLB.COM - buying the feed through them and then they credit you for the same amount

Been awesome for the past 25 minutes or so. Actually became awesome when Uribe connected for the 8-2 lead. First time in ages I actually felt safe with the lead! Little shaky at the end but still enough to save my stomach lining for another day

Just got the weather report. It's going to be overcast and a chance of a very light drizzle later in the evening. The local weather guys say the game should not be effected. The center of the pattern is going to miss us well to the north.

Hey guys, just checking in, home from the ballpark with a couple of observations:

1. Tony Bennett KILLED G-d Bless America tonight. That we now have this song every 7th inning stretch is a bit too jingoistic for me, but Tony was awesome tonight.
2. I ran into Ashkon, almost literally, outside the ballpark tonight. I told him about the ESPN board and how pathetic it is now...he said he stopped reading it midseason. Didn't mention if he ever posted there or not.
3. After the game the crowd was divided about 75/25 with noobs who were going crazy and the rest of us who just wanted to get home and were embarassed with the win.
4. On the way out, I spoke with Larry Baer very briefly (we went to the same HS) and asked him how the HELL an AL game broke out in an NL park. He shrugged and said "three more!" To which I replied "I'm glad we won, but this was a total shit show." He grinned.
5. I almost got into a fight with a guy who insisted that Huff was safe on the stolen base attempt. After trying to explain to him several times that Huff didn't slide outside and was blocked by the 2bs leg, he finally said "fuck you -- you couldn't see that from here [club level]." I called him a Massengil and said go watch the in-house monitor. He did, and brought me back a beer. Class move. Fucking blowhard.

Everything needs to tighten up for tomorrow night....this sloppy AL style ball will not stand!
