buchholz is screwing himself out of a lot of future $$$

Buchholz is already signed through 2015, with team options for $13mm and $13.5mm for 2016 and 2017. If Lincecum can get $17.5mm for being a shell of his former self, then the Sox will likely pick up those options even if Buchholz remains less than a full time starter.

Lester is the guy making himself some money. The Sox have picked up his 2014 option for $13mm, but he is unsigned beyond next season. I would offer him something like 4yrs/$60mm and see if that gets it done. It may cost a bit more now.

Excellent strategy. Pretty obvious the Sox are going to crush the Cards so why not dangle Peavy out there. The only thing they risk is the sweep by doing so. Even though it's the Cards, I hope Peavy gets his world rocked.

I have the 1st MiLB pick this year which most seem to think is Kris Bryant, but still early and not sold on him since he is Chris Davis before the break out esque.

But just got offered that pick and G. Stanton. For Xander Bogarts and Carlos Correia.

Not sure if I can give up Stanton as one of the true power bats in the league and an impending move to a non piece of shit team.

He also isn't going to hit .202 on the road next year.
