Yep I guess we can say Carlos catch to rob Papi of the grand slam was a fluke but he will say it was skill

nah, that wasn't a fluke

it was more a fly ball than a line drive like in detroit series, he had time to line that one up last night

Lester was fantastic last night. He pitched like he needed to . He threw first pitch strikes and didn't fall in love with his cutter early. He used his straight fastball to get early strikes and then finished with the cutter and curve. He also got out of those 4th and 5th inning james with good pitches.
What kind shocked me is that the Cards were really late against his fastball when it was around 92 mph. Freese got a really good pitch to hit with the bases loaded and was thinking home run but he didnt get around in time. There were a few other pitches like that in the middle innings.

I myself really believe it has to do with how and what they are taught in P.F.P. And, I.M.O, pitchers are treated as if they can not catch a ball. Myabe if they were taught to go agressively to balls instead of being taught to run away, so as not to disrupt the "real" fielders, this would not happen so often.

Looks like my football team is still a joke.

The St. Louis Rams, desperate for a quarterback like seemingly half the NFL is these days, called Brett Favre this week, according to ESPN. The franchise wanted to see if Favre would unretire for the umpteenth time and give it one last final shot, after all the other one last final shots.

Still better than Tebow

Does anyone else think that John Axford is secretly from a Cardinals team circa 1982?

What did you expect would happen, when you hit the ball 2 inches from your hand?

In Craig's defense, didn't he get a hit later on in the AB?

Still, scraping the bottom of the barrell.

I started scanning the game instead of watching it around that time, so I am unsure. I just know he helped more than hurt by playing last night. Which leads me to this. Can he play 1B now you think? I ask, as that would be a way to maybe get Beltran's bat back in, if he is healthy enough to go. And, to that, with as long as he waited to get here, I think he will be able to suck it up if able.

The high socks, the mustache combo, the occasional mullet. Its like he came from a time machine instead of Milwaukee.
