It's a Citroen SM and man I'm in love.

Limo version even cooler. Here's Pompidou with some old bag who's almost certainly dead by now.

Citroens are just so funky. It's especially cool when you see one roaming around at a show down here as they weren't even sold here. There's a guy around here who rolls his DS out for the yearly Rahal "Rally for the Ranch" car show. Never get tired of seeing it.

I thought for sure they had been sold in NA - there was a mechanic shop across from the train station in my town that had a sign since forever that had a bunch of foreign marques that weren't sold there anymore that they serviced and Citroen was on there (Renault, Peugeot, Alfa, Fiat etc. as well). Figured they had been at some point.

I only remember ever seeing Renault, Fiat and Alfas being sold down here. Apparently they did sell Citroens and Peugots but I never saw them around me.

And the Renault's we got were things like:

Looks like Chevy is starting the "I switched" commercials featuring a statistically perfect mix of actors holding signs with the logo of the car brand they used to own, with Chevy on the back. The actors say "I switched because..." One guy has a Mercedes logo on his.

What he needed to say was "I switched because paint chips are YUMMY"

Are European made Fiats better than their North American counterparts because Fiat's on this side of the pond are not very good.

I still struggle to think of a Chevy I would take over that. But then again, I like cars that work.

Skoda and Seat are also made by VW.
Gotta love how the little principalities are all appropriately high end. I see you there with your BMW, Andorra.

I had one Portugal-based relative who owned a Punto back in the 90s who said never again and none of my other 20+ relatives have ever bought one.

Map is accurate - most of them stick to Renaults or Opels and then have a late-90s/early-00s Mercedes E-Class that they drive on Sundays lol

Fiat has always had a poor reputation, and I can't imagine it's gotten any better with the consolidation with Peugeot and Dodge.

I think they (and Alfas) are good quality to start out but don't last.

When they gave Jalopnik a new Giulia Quad to test drive it broke down and Car & Driver's long-term tester spent 80 days in the shop over 14 months of testing lol
