Hope Chia is watching and trades his sorry butt

Sadly it's not going to happen but at 12.5 million starting next season and other players looking for some bumps in pay in the near future, it's going to be tough to fix that roster.

Nurse is such a dummy, that game is over at 4-1 and he runs Bonino hard into the boards and then stands over top of him taunting him. Check the scoreboard Darnell.

just saw last 2 periods
Horvat was very good, McElhinny was very good.
Parayko has such a bomb - Is St Louis not using him properly?

needed more from McDavid and Barzal.
the former for his 2 gaffes (and not making up for it), the latter because for all of his talent,
I heard think his name twice while I watched, both were peripherally.

gold medal game going to a shootout.

Sweden hit the post with 2 seconds left in OT.
Swiss are so good at clogging up the middle (crap-trap hockey team)
Sweden really could have used Elias Petersson on their powerplay today

Canuck goalie in the net for Sweden, so I think I know how this ends.

One thing about Porsche... their designers understand the concept of sexy hips.

http://www.vwvortex.com/news/volkswagen-id-r-becomes-first-ever-car-run-7-minute-pikes-peak-time/

Damn.

DAMN

First car ever under 8 mins at Pikes Peak.

Hope this signals a shift for VW to build all electrics and hybrids and put this whole "Lets cheat instead of innovating on the diesel cars" thing.

http://www.autonews.com/article/20180625/OEM02/180629897/rupert-stadler-audi-ceo-arrest

And I also hope they don't just take this as a "we found our fall guy". Everyone involved needs to go.
They probably cheated on the Pikes Peak run.

52 seconds off the previous?! How the fuck is that even possible?

That's like going from the biplane era to the god damn Concorde.

The car is a "let's throw the rule book out" version of their LeMans winner from two years ago. They had extra chassis that weren't getting used and the rules changed and made them unusable. So they decided to just chuck the aero rules out the window and see how much downforce they could generate. For fun.

That same car got around Spa faster than an F1 car can. They are taking it on a tour of tracks around the world obliterating track records. Just because.

I was listening to an interview and they said they not happy that they couldn't go earlier before it got too hot. They figure it can go ten seconds faster.

So, I hit a canyon of a pothole between lanes the other day and it sheared off the spring seat and broke the spring and shock absorber in my car. So while I wait for it to be repaired with a part that is apparently coming from Siberia, I am in a rental.

When I called to make my "full size" reservation, I was joking with the guy that I am giving up an Audi for a week and I would prefer he not put me in a Toyota Camry. He said the best he had was a brand new Nissan Altima. And I reluctantly agreed. Set up a time to pick up.

I got there a little late and there was an old woman that they gave my Nissan to. The guy went to the back to see what else they had and when he came back up he went right to the manager and I heard him say "all we have left is the Corolla". And I'm thinking "great, not only a Toyota, but a SMALLER one". The manager points at their CCTV and says "They're almost done with that one. Give him that". He waved me around and said "will this do?"

It was one of these:

So, while I am relieved to not be driving a piece of white bread like the Camry or Altima, I have to say...

I want my Audi back. This thing does look amazing and has a nice growl to it, but it is slower than my wagon and noisy and uncomfortable. It's near impossible to see out of and has blind spots the size of a house. All style, no substance. All hat, no cattle. It's marginally better now that I have figured out how to turn on Sport suspension and steering and turn off traction control. We Americans just cannot build a car. It's louder than my father in law's dualie pickup on the highway. And you feel every one of those 80 mph.

I have reached peak "Euro car snob" status.

Below is the only good American sports car made in the last decade+.

Man, it's a beauty, but that 140 grand sticker price is a little out of my range.

Here's one for 43 - a 2002 GTI 337 (6 speed with the golf ball shifter and Recaro seats) and a 135 grand less than the Ford GT.

At 170k though, with probably many multiple owners, no lifetime service records…

That $5k can turn into a lot more very quickly. But I’d very much like a pristine version (I know I know, we all want the unicorn).

This bad boy was out there for $4k US and I strongly considered moving to BC just to have a better climate to drive it in.
