It's coming together. Still need a 1B/DH type and a right fielder. Josh Bell is still out there. Cody Bellinger is too. And Conforto. And Haniger. Benintendi is too but I don't like him much. He has always hit but the hits have never translated to run production.

Swap France to the 5th hole or 6th with Raleigh and that is how I see it. As it stands now JP should be 8th and Kelenic should get the humble pie of batting 9th.

I'm not sure. even with his prowess against right-handers, that Wong will be any better than Frazier once you apply the inevitable T-Mobile/Safeco jinx to his batting average. No one, other than Nellie, has ever managed to avoid it.

Very true, Endub. I'm not saying we are any better. Just mixing and matching. Plugging holes. Trying new guys in areas where Dipoto/Service were dissatisfied with the outgoing guys.

The key will be the next guy they bring in, if they bring one more in. We can probably survive one more year with the Kelenic/Trammel debacle in the outfield, hoping one of them will get over the psychological hump and play in MLB like they are capable. But, if they don't get a serious 1B/DH type then...fuggetaboutit. We will be the same team that still can not beat the elite teams in the AL.

Exactly. The middle part of the order is right-hand heavy. Makes it easy for the opposing manager when it becomes a bullpen game. We need a lefty power bat to drop in between France and Hernanadez, or France and Suarez, or Suarez and Hernandez.
