USC has lost to 3 teams.
Only 4 teams in the country are rated as being stronger than USC.
None of the top ten have played each other.

It's like some kind of blacksmiths puzzle already taken apart, they tell you all the pieces fit together easily. But you just can't see how.

Tennessee didn't get the benefit of your weak schedule. I know you don't understand that playing tougher teams puts a bigger beating on your team, but that's the reality.

Tennessee had already played a tough game against Oklahoma and Florida before they even got to play Arkansas. And all those games were close and 2 of them went to OT.

Arkansas is rated even with Wisconsin basically in the FPI btw, which is your best win - and barely a win.
Yep Arkansas is rated even with Wisconsin. Thanks for making my point. The FPI is miserable even by computer standards

Your understanding is miserable even by mid-major fan standards.

Listen fuckwad, tge FPI IS A JOKE. Period. Find a different metric to use. It's the worst. I'm sure there are others that convey whatever message it is you're trying to cherry pick that don't have USC, Tennessee and UGA in the top 14. That's stupid as shit even by your standards

Pretty sure people get paid to work on things related to FPI. Do you get paid for your opinion?

There is only one poll that matters and it sure as hell won't look like this FPI mess.

It's like advanced stats, but they use human input to manipulate the rankings. So lets say like Baylor loses their QB and is a much worse team the rest of the year. Most computers are unable to recognize this change in a team and will keep rating Baylor as being a better team than they are. Where as they can in theory adjust things to reflect the change.

So it's interesting, because that's a good bit of what I do myself as I look at advanced stats and see things. But then at the same time if/when the human input is wrong, well it's no good. I like advanced stats more because I can see it without the human bias/input.

But it's not the most horrible thing in the world. I'll value it over your average fan for sure.

I kind of understand what you are saying. Baylor would still drop if they lose, but not as much. Personally, I don't like how it ranks the teams, but I also understand it is not the same kind of rankings as the AP, Coaches, or Committee poll.

FPI is closer to something Vegas would use(as a guess) basically. It's not a season ranking.

Getting paid for something doesn't mean you do it well lol

For instance, I couldn't put Michigan 6 spots above Utah. I just don't know how to read it where it really does make sense.

You at least need qualifications for it though. Just face it. Their opinion means more to the country than yours.

Of course it's not. That's why it's not germane in discussing actual rankings. I don't give a shit who would be favored to win a game. I care about who actually won a game

And that's fine. I'm sure the leader of the Blacklivesmatter or Westboro Baptist opinions are more nationally valuable than mine too. They're both still insane fucktards. Just like people who use FPI as a means,to debate actual rankings

I could and would for power rankings. Not regular season rankings.

That is perhaps the most arrogant thing I have ever read from you, 4down.

Pray tell - how to "mid-major fan standards" differ from p5 fan standards?
