I dunno... maybe that the obviously bad call was a bad call. I guess I would have appreciated a little cynicism in his observation. His "matter of fact" delivery made it sound like that's just the way things are supposed to work.

I hear you and I agree. Take it as the words of a guy who played 12+ years in the NBA. I think he is just comfortable with the way that the officiating actually works in reality.... rather than blowing smoke up the listeners ass and telling us how it should work.

That last possession was ugly.

Not bad all things considered though. A tie game at the half would have been a miracle given how Wisconsin has played, poor shooting, free throw differential, etc.

The one glaring issue with Arizona is their prolonged droughts in scoring. It seems like they have a 3-6 minute block of time where no one can hit a shot. That could be their downfall.

BO will never change, his version of a end of half/game play call is let the PG dribble for 30 seconds then chuck a low% shot at vs double coverage instead of sticking to moving the ball around. NICE

Game going as advertised. Great defense by Arizona; no free looks and that is why Wisconsin is not scoring. 2nd Half will be more of the same with more scoring as defense is tough to keep up at that pace.

What, you didn't watch the game in Ann Arbor? Arizona is a very physical defensive team, they get on you from the start and never let up, and baring foul trouble to the key guys (Gordon & RHJ) they have the athletes to do it all game long.

Both teams share a glaring problem. They don't have a point they can rely on to run the show.

Arizona is a rhythm team and Wisky is a "set" team.

Tournament time, I'll take the more sound half-court team, and that is Wisconsin.

I find it hilarious that the Badgers are still oblivious to the fact that they haven't won a single call when setting up for a charge no matter how long the player is set or how much the offensive player lowers his shoulders. They had 7 blocking fouls vs Baylor and 5 vs the Ducks while setting up for charges and they still haven't learned. Also, Decker hasn't been impressive at all in this tournament.

umm... Arizona doesn't have a PG to run the show? TJ McConnell is one of the best PGs in the country, is top-10 in asst/TO ratio and always makes the right play.

You are confusing not having a point to run the show... with offenses that run a lot of set plays. Arizona runs a true motion offense, they do not have one ball handler at the top of the key who calls out plays and puts them into action, they have 4 ball handlers who are interchangeable in a constantly flowing motion.

Arizona's offense has never been an issue, it is their shot selection that comes into question. When they miss shots, many are early in the shot clock and forced, such as Rondae Jefferson taking pull-up 15 footers off the dribble, something that he has done 3 or 4 times all season. Not his game.

Calls are calls, don't see anything horrible about the refs in the 1st half.

As per normal, homer fan will see it the way they want to see it. I'm sure some Arizona fans are bitching about some calls that should have went their way as well.

Get over it. Ugly first half, and these teams have much better to show.

Exactly. There were plenty of missed calls on both sides. Anybody who thinks the refs will decide this game have given up already. Bad calls happen, you play through it.
