Looks like the team name an uniforms will be unveiled sometime this weekend as well as naming their first head coach. Home opener next year will be October 9th vs Montreal.

Well the team name and coach is being reported by TSN, so it could still be false(especially is its Dreger reporting it). The home opener looks legit. The sched comes out tomorrow.

The one thing that really annoys me about this whole name thing is all these people saying things like "If they don't name them the Jets, I will never buy any merchandise ever". Are you serious? You just got an NHL team back after 15 years and your going to hurt their long term viability just because of an old nickname? Be a great story to tell the grand kids someday when they ask why the second NHL team left; "Well nobody bought any jerseys because they didn't call the team Jets like they should have"

Don't be ingrates. Real hockey fans will support that team no matter what they are called.

I mean just look at the Slug logo for the Sabres. Everyone said they hated it, and it was ugly, but it was the highest selling jersey amongst all teams for a bit of time.
