Former Medicine Hat Tiger speedster signs a 2 year deal with the Winged Wheel ($825,000 and $1 million).

All these 1 and 2 year deals being signed. Why do I think there's going to be another NHL work stoppage in two years time?

any player, NHLPA exec, or NHL exec that would let that happen should have his intestines ripped out and strewn about the yard

i think all the 1 and 2 year deals are because teams are right up against the cap, with young guys they'll need to sign in the next couple years.. the long and huge contracts are starting to catch up with teams i think, so they need guys that will fill roster spots, but leave cap room in the coming off-seasons

I was hoping they would sign him to a longer deal but I think they are tight against the cap and he is worth more than the contract is paying him. Good deal for the Wings. Hopefully after two years, they can re-sign him.
