This is the 2nd game of a 3 game season series in which the Wings beat the Canes 3-2 on 10/4/13 by an OT goal scored by Weiss!
Injuries:
Canes: Pitkanen (heel), Semin (concussion) and Khodobin (lower body) are on IR; Westgarth (upper body) and Hainsey (flu) are both questionable.
Wings: DeKeyser (sprained left shoulder) is on long-term IR, Weiss (groin) is on IR, Alffie (groin) missed Tuesday's game.

Ward is expected to start against the Wings, he is only 1-4-1 with a 2.99 GAA in his 6 career games against the Wings! Canes have lost 5 straight on the road!
This may be the game that rights the Wings at home! The Wings hopefully will break the 8 game losing streak at home tonight when the puck drops at the Joe! Game is slated for 7:30pm tonight!
