He should get a job, but chances are good that he won't. It seems like more teams are interested in assistants that have an offensive background or a track-record of developing young quarterbacks. You'll probably see a big push for Chip Kelly and Jon Gruden. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Josh McDaniels get another shot. Heck, Jay Gruden might get some more attention. You also have to figure that Andy Reid will probably get a job if he wants one.

Chip Kelly was close to taking the Tampa job last year -- And now Oregon has sanctions coming.

Miami reportedly turned down Zimmer because he was too much of a straight shooter and not enough of a politician. We saw this when he was the DC in Atlanta when he called out the coach. He's deserving of a head coaching job, but that will likely always be his downfall if he doesn't get one.

I keep hoping against hope that Mikey will wake up and fire Marvin. Then promoting Zimmer would be the perfect move. Never happen though. Marvin will probably still be here the day I die.

I think Mike might give Marvin the first ever 'lifetime' contract in the NFL.

I'm afraid you're right, especially since this year marks the third in four years in the playoffs. I don't think Mikey cares if they never win a playoff game.

the media attention in New York is horrible. "an anonymous source said this, an anonymous source said that"

then it turns out to be all a lie. and no one really cares that it was, as they just eat up the next thing an anonymous source says. idiotic.

No doubt we will lose him.

I am thinking Philadelphia.

However, we may hire Lovie Smith as D-Coord to replace him until Lovie gets a second chance at a HC job.
