Will Tukuafu

Losing him didn't seem to affect us too much, but who do the Niners sign to replace his roster spot? I imagine that Dixon sees more snaps and that the Niners could use Vance McDonald or maybe even Willhoite if they need a bigger FB for particular plays.

Probably his inexperience catching the ball. I doubt he has caught a pass since High School. Also the CB went very low so I doubt Tukuafu could get low enough to run him over.

Dont be fooled by a possible Tukuafu absence... he was one of my under the radar type players at FB... I believe and seen him capable of executing a run block and sealing off any defendor from Gore or Kap....

Dont be fooled by a possible Tukuafu absence... he was one of my under the radar type players at FB... I believe and seen him capable of executing a run block and sealing off any defendor from Gore or Kap....

underrated "key" player from the FB position.

I'd rather have a bigger guy than Dixon at Fullback againnst that fierce Seattle front seven so that he can help fend off the rush.

I was impressed that he was able to catch it and turn upfield for some yards. You don't see that too often from a 300 lb. man. Unfortunately, his leg got caught. I don't know how great he is at trucking people. It's not just about being big. You have to generate power and give the defensive player a good pop. I think a lot of these big guys just don't have the explosiveness to be able to effectively truck defensive players.

Not much time to do that going into the biggest game of the year in the toughest place to play. I am not convinced we are fine with him back there.

With McDonald and Dixon they have more versatility too. They can maybe use them in the passing game better then Tukuafu. I think McDonald gets into the end zone this week.

I would rather Celek or McDonald play FB than Tukuafu, I'm not a huge fan of his. He makes solid blocks at the point on contact but he is slower getting to the point.

Just to add to McDonald, he offers so much more in the pass game. I'm actually looking forward to him being back there.
