There are no exceptional receivers, one exceptional pass-rusher, no great DTs, no great olinemen. You have to wonder if this is another one of those weak drafts where there's going to be developing.

I have read a lot of information on this draft and what I read said that the olinemen are not elite, the receiving class is weak and outside of Jack and mabe Bosa the pass rushing options ranked high have some flaws.

And don't fucking talk that way to me again.

None of that really matters because we don't know how any of these kids will turn out as pros. We could be looking back 10-15 years from now and saying this is one of the best draft classes ever.

2013 nfl draft has 16 pro bowl players in 2 years. Its not terrible

pro bowlers don't really mean anything anymore. With so many skipping them & alternates getting to the probowl it seems like half the league makes the probowl every year. (yes I know it is an exaggeration)

Plus the fans voting players in because of name recognition over more deserving players

As far as the OP's question goes people say the draft is weak every year even when its a super strong class you never really know until you see how the players do on the field.

Loomis doesn't decide our draft picks, Ireland scouts and gives the list of names to Payton and Allen. And last year, I would say Andrus Peat, Stephone Anthony, PJ Williams, Hau'oli Kikahaha, and Damian Swann are far from busts. All in Ireland's first year. Of course Miami's pretty much made him overlooked as a talent evaluator. The saints defense has a lot of young players and three of those drafted dealt with injuries(one out for year). Much like Cooks did his first year and look what he did last year. Might as well call Beasley a bust if you think Anthony's one. And Shaq if you think Hau'oli is one.

The part about no great DTs nullifies your entire premise. The DT quality in this draft is impressive.

I suspect that this is going to be one of the great Safety drafts, Interior Dlineman drafts and Linebacker drafts

Ezeke Elliot will be the best player in this draft

And the Giants will pass on him

And I will kill small children

Some of these guards in the draft play with a little mean streak to them ( which you want)
receivers might not be blazing fast or 6'5" but a lot of them can actually catch the ball.
D linemen are lunch box carriers meaning they will not be afraid of eating up space or stuffing a RB in the hole...

Question that does keep coming up is the QB like every year, can these guys play and who's is gonna be stupid enough to pull the trigger on them in the first round!

I think we throw the word "great" around too easily...imo greatness is HOF caliber and you don't find that in every draft.

In terms of a draft that you can build a team with...DT is stellar on paper.

Worse will any teams trade up for one of these QBs? Genius if it works, but what a gamble for a GM.

Yep!

It's that whole risk or reward thing, praying the coaching staff can turn someone not so elite into a star while hoping the player is willing to work his arse off!

From a NE standpoint I wouldn't mind. They traded away their first round in 13 and don't have one this year. Thanks Roger and Mr. Kraft.
NE selected Jamie Collins and Arron Dobson late 2nd, Logan Ryan and Duron Harmon late 3rd, Josh Boyce 4th, Michael Buchanan and Steve Beauhanrais in tge 7th.

UDFA they picked up all these players that have helped; Vellano, Kenbrall Thompkins, Ryan Allen, Josh Klien.

Not a bad draft.

If you're CLE, yeah, you can probably take Bosa and take maybe the 4th QB off the board in the 2nd rd, but I wouldn't call it stupid to take Wentz of Goff at 2...even if they fail....stupid imo would be trading up to pick one of them.
