I don't think this is a reputation thing- it was an obvious late hit (which happen all the time) and he'll be fined accordingly. I don't think it will be any more than a "normal" late-hit fine, though, as it wasn't particularly egregious, just a clean, but late, hit.

I think there is a chance he will not. He just gave him a little push. Not like he picked him up and drove him into the ground. 5K tops.

Since I think several of his past fines were excessive, I think it continues here. Goodell, I feel, judges more on reputation and history than he does on individual events, and repeat offenders are brutalized. The hit warranted a penalty and nothing more, but I predict at least $10,000.

Probably. Can't wait until he goes to the Redskins and ESPN turns him into a bigger monster by labeling him king of the insensitive Indian haters.

I am from the old school. That was just a good clean hit. That will cost about $16K

Even though I realize this a outlandish Rob post...

He goes to Redskins and he is a POS who wanted money. He goes to SB contender no matter the contract I will understand him leaving land of the lost for greener pastures.

This is were I disagree with repeat offender shit. This hit was mild and yet he may get a $25K fine, while some young kid crushes a guy and gets the good boy discount as opposed to a vet who has been fined before.

I think they tend to set bigger fines in the preseason as a message, especially with his history of fines, so I would go with gandydancer and say $25k.

On a side note, Dick Butkus used to do this on a regular basis, my how the game has changed.

Is it because of the lateness or the helmet use. It wasn't that late. Generally two steps is fine as long as you don't drive to the ground. It was borderline on lateness. Same for the helmet. His helmet was used, but he didn't use the crown. This is a combination of reputation and his crazy power. Most the time that hit goes un penalized but is not nearly as violent.

Goodell is going to fine him 30K. I would love to see Suh on my Cowboys. The Cowboys would then have legit roughing the passer penalties called on them instead of all the 'phantom" BS calls after someone on our defense barely touches the QB. if you are going to hit the QB late you may as well make it a d-cleater.

Nothing outlandish about it.

Media hates the Redskins, media hates Suh,

Your bolded comment is outlandish. Guess Megatron is a POS who wanted money? lol

Cretin is a POS who just wants money. Otherwise he'd clean the Seahawks toilets for free.

Obviously TP is a POS teacher. Otherwise he'd volunteer to teach in a real part of MI instead of taking a paycheck to babysit Yooper mutants.

Suh is great news for the NFL front office as they can continue to play the politic game, fine him as often and excessively as they can, soon players will have to tiptoe around on defense so offenses continue to put up more points and points means more money for the NFL. Suh is the face of their project.

Proof-A 300 yard passing game by a QB is now the norm whereas ten years ago it was a very impressive feat. The QBS and offenses havent gotten any better but they sure have every advantage when it comes to being protected.
