I don't think that is true at all. Pronger is an absolute beast in the playoffs. Even if he is at 50% then that is still a big plus for Philly. My only fear is that he injures his hand even worse.

if pronger plays, i dont want him taking a single shot. i'm fearful of him breaking his hand again. i'd rather have him play a limited role the rest of this series, or not even play at all, as opposed to losing him for another 3-5 weeks and the rest of the playoffs more or less.

Enough fucking around. Just win two more games and meanwhile declare Pronger out for the entire first round. You wouldn't want his first game back to be a big time pressure situation in a game six or seven anyway.

It appears that the only reason we dressed Pronger was to run the power play for 4:33 and boost morale on the bench as well as in the locker room. He took five fucking shifts!! Is he healthy enough to play or is he not? It seems to me that if you're having him screen a goalie in front of the net while on the power play, there's at least a slight risk of him taking a slapper and re-injuring his hand. I don't know that I agree with the way we're handling this injury. It's a complete mess, really.
