Another Georgia defender is facing a suspension following a reported offseason arrest.

Bulldog redshirt freshman linebacker Davin Bellamy was arrested at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday morning and charged with DUI and speeding, Dawgs247.com reported. According to Athens-Clark County police records, he was released at 6:22 a.m. after having posted a $2,000 bond. The charges are misdemeanors.

Georgia's defense this offseason: Five players arrested (one of them twice), three players dismissed, two more transfered, one medical DQ.

At this rate we may see some true iron man football being played in Georgia by seasons end.

What I cannot fathom is WHY Georgia is so overrated EVERY SINGLE YEAR with obvious, massive losses in talent or in this case, no talent there on that side of the ball to begin with. I'm fine with that. I think people call for kids to be kicked off the team too much. Unless the person is causing trouble on the team, I'm all for keeping them on the team.

People always talk about making things for the kids, but then expect everyone to kick them off the team if they get in trouble. Something that is pretty common for kids that age, sometimes people have to learn the hard way. Kicking them off the team isn't good for the kid in those cases.

If their presence is causes other trouble for the team etc, then that is more understandable. And of course, the more serious/violent type crimes.
