All this deal did was avoid going to an arbitration hearing. That may be a good sign. Boras wanted $8.75M, but Wieters agreed to take less.

We'll see if Wieters will agree to a multi-year contract before next offseason. Can become a free agent after the 2015 season.

I'm thinking that of the 2 Boras clients, Davis will be the one we have a better chance of signing since he's said that he'd love to stay here. Wieters really hasn't said anything, which makes me assume he's going to test the market and wants to get out of here.
