Why didn't UF take advice from FSU and keep the accused player on the team?

By FSU rules any athlete charged with a FELONY is automatically suspended until either the charge is reduced or cleared through the court system. If memory serves correct he was never charged. So they followed the rule.

Maybe UF has a different rule OR the UF president does not want a PR disaster like FSU put itself in. You know learning from other's mistakes.

Oh and not shocked one bit about this thread.

So basically what you are saying is that UF has more integrity than FSU.

Goddamn I hate these dumb fucking troll threads. You shouldn't should kick someone off the team just because they were accused of something. When they're found guilty, fine....but not before.

Shit starters need to be dragged out back and shot in the fucking face.

Quit comparing the 2. Let's see if the Gainesville police tell the victim she best not press charges first.

No investigation no charges, works out perfect.

But for the record neither kid should have been removed from the team for an accusation. Wait until they are at least charged.

CFB Players just cant go around raping people anymore thanks to Crab Man. When they grow up and go to the NFL they won't be able to beat their wives either...

I'm not shocked about this thread either. It was only a matter of time before a similar situation came up and showed how the situation should be handled unlike how FSU did it.

Florida has learned from FSU's issues and also Florida still has the stigma of Hernandez's thuggish behavior. It was not Muschamp who suspended Harris; it was the president of the university. I guess he learned from allowing Meyer to make those decisions. Harris was not kicked off the team...just suspended until this gets sorted out. 3AM after a ball game is not the time for a ball player to be putting himself in harm's way. These players have to understand that they are under the microscope and conduct themselves accordingly.

Paterno did a good job of keeping his players in line...any infraction and the boys got to clean the stadium. Also, Penn State does a good job making sure the tailgators don't make a mess and don't act stupidly.

Florida has always had pretty high ethical standards. We caught a disease during the CUM years. That's not an insult to CUM (I have other, better insults) but rather a testament to his style of management. Meyer was trying to micromanage the team and, obviously, didn't delegate well. So, not only did that give him a nervous breakdown, but allowed players to run wild when out of sight. Then, when players were getting busted, he had to over-react...like benching the O-line in the SECCG against Bama. It was all bullshit.

So basically what you are saying is that UF has more integrity than FSU.

No, Winston was identified IN JANUARY. You know.... When college football season is OVER.

Winston was never charged, the alleged victim stopped cooperating with police... All, again, IN JANUARY. So acter that, Winston competes with Coker in Spring for the starting job and wins, then comes out of the gate looking fantastic, then begins getting mention for the Heisman on an undefeated team, AND ONLY THEN, does the accusation resurface, spearheaded by the accuser's auntie who just so happens to be a UF grad...

So at that time, when old allegations get dredged up a second time when they resurface FSU needed to suspend him? Even though the case had gone inactive? It isnt like there was any new evidence.

The two situations arent alike at all, but you already knew that.

No, the accuser stopped cooperating and stopped returning calls from the investigators.... But you go right on believing the narrative that you have created in that little head of yours. :lame:

Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel who is a UF grad is calling for Harris to be expelled now. Not after the investigation and facts come out, but NOW. Sounds like some people here. Condemn without the facts. Unfair to Harris because if found innocent he is being used as a sacrificial lamb. All to bow down to media.
