green bay's offense is wr based while new orleans isn't. the saints just don't have that kind of talent at wr. of course he's gonna have more ypa and less pass attempts.
It's FEWER pass attempts. Plural... I'll concede Green bay has better receivers than... well just about anyone in the NFL... but it's not like the Saints have a bunch of scrubs. Jimmy Graham, Colston, Meachem & Henderson is a pretty good receiving corps.
Let me preface this by saying I realize it won't happen so no one get their panties in a wad.....but the soon to be 0-16 Colts might vote for Manning. No way they are worse than 8-10 wins with him in the lineup.

I initially thought this was a 49ers team MVP thread. I thought Rodgers 2011 NFL MVP was a no-brainer. Brees can't touch Rodgers, even with his 11 games indoors.

the saints offense and the overal skill set of their wr's should result in less ypa for brees vs rodgers. brees is perfect for that system because it doesn't focus as much on vertical passing.
I hate to say it, because I hate the Packers with a fucking passion. But, if Brady gets an MVP for having a year like this back in 2007 with 50-0 votes... I can't see how they don't give it to Rodgers for having a year like this with a defense that sucks so bad... but make up for it with a lot of turnovers. That defense is ranked what? 31st in yards? but 1st in takeaways?
The MVP has long been, the sexy pick. And it doesn't get any sexier than what Brady did in 2007 and what Rodgers is doing this year.
..well for mvp, brees can't touch rodgers. however, eli is my pick for mvp. nobody had the giants making the playoffs if they were healthy.
If you had a choice between skill position players, would you take
Gregg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver, James Jones, JerMichael Finley, Ryan Grant, John Kuhn and James Starks
or
Marcus Colston, Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem, Lance Moore, Jimmy Graham, Darren Sproles, Pierre Thomas and Mark Ingram?
I'd take the Saints talent without much hesitation. I also think the Saints, with Meachem and Henderson, are built for a more vertical passing game.
Aaron Rodgers is just that good right now.
