Nash
Barkley
Duncan
Drexler
Yeah, I have those exact same players.

Nash does too much on offense and Duncan adds too much on defense to keep them off the list.

I'll take my four and play your four.

Since 3 of my 4 are the same as yours, that would be impossible.

But even on the 3 it's not no question.

Who's better between the following guys:

Jason Kidd
Steve Nash

Charles Barkley
Karl Malone

Moses Malone
Tim Duncan

Clyde Drexler
Dwyane Wade

Discuss....
Yikes...

The first choice is hard.

Both guys can create.

One can shoot, can't play defense.

The other can play defense, can't shoot.

Hard to pick without knowing the rest of the roster.

But, as a lifelong Clippers fan...what the hell is defense?

So, Nash....

Barkley could have been even greater if he wasn't fat and lazy.

Malone of the Karl variety.

When I started watching basketball, Moses was already washed.

But, I got to see Duncan his entire career.

So, the Big Fundamental.

Wade and Drexler is a fascinating debate.

I have those guys as 1a and 1b for the 3rd best SG in History.

I'm going Wade.

Nash, Karl, Tiiiiiiiiiiimy, Flash.

If you look at career numbers, they're all very close. Look at Reggie and Mullins, career numbers including shooting. Mullin actually has 4x All NBA/5x All star compared to Reggie 3x All NBA/5x All star. Reggie was a slightly better shooter, percentage wise. Mullin was a better play maker. Both not very good defensively.

Webber/Gasol is really closer than you might think, IMO.

Oh shit....

Killer crossover vs. KJ.....

Hardaway was so fucking filthy and both those guys had injury issues....

But, this....

I want to take KJ just because he teabagged the Dream.

But, Hardaway.

Mullin vs. Reggie...

This is another great one. They both have 18.2 ppg scoring averages...

Both have 5 all-star appearances.

Mullin had 1 more All NBA Team honor and he's the only one that made first team.

Chris was so underrated and his stats are a smidge better than Reggie's in almost every category.

But, I'm going Miller.

Miller took his team to the Playoffs 15 Seasons to Mullin 8 and when he got to the Playoffs he produced more 20ppg to 14 for Chris.

Plus he went to UCLA....LOL

I'm taking Webber over Pau.

Even if it isn't true, IDC...he's my favorite player of all time.

But, I think it is.

Webber was superior in every facet outside of Defense.

Hardaway, Miller, Webber.

I will take Reggie but the other two depends on preference honestly.

Number for Hardaway are very close, Johnson more efficient, Hardway better 3 pr shooter. But going by the eye test I would take Timmy.

Pau vs Webber. Both are so of most underrated players ever imo.

I gotta go Webber he was a freaking beast in his prime, fantastic passer too.

Gasol was 'Robin' on a Championship team and contenders for multiple seasons. Its even fun to troll and say that he was 'Batman' and Kobe was 'Robin'. Gasol was a .220-.230 Win Shares a Game Player with Kobe and had 143 Win Shares in his career compared to Webbers 85 Win Shares.

I'd break this down more but I really dont think it is close

Of course his win shares are higher.

He played with Kobe and won two rings. Played for the Spurs who always go to the postseason.

Check his win shares when he was the guy in Memphis.

They look a bit different, right?

Chris has always been the best player on his team, until the knee injury.

Statistically, Webber was his match.

Chris is superior in every category, sans blocks.

Webber took those BETTER Laker teams (the ones with Shaq AND Kobe to 7 games. The competition out West was tough and Webber had less around him then Pau. Pau had Kobe. Webber was the Batman of those Kings teams.

Pau was averaging 19 and 11 those two years they won it all.

Webber was carrying Sac against the better version of the Laker teams and almost taking them down.

I will take cWebb as annoying as he is as a commentator

Webber is one of the all time injury what ifs in the NBA. His knees hold up then I think the comparison we would be arguing was KG vs Webber. However because they didn't I think I take Gasol over him.

I'm not sure I would go that far, only because KG is one of the best defenders of all time. He was rail thin, but he was always up for the challenge, which actually makes it more impressive. Webber is probably the best passing big of all time. He was that good.

It would be similar to Kidd/Nash. Both are elite at a few key things, then they are separated by one particular skill.

So both are probably near a wash in Points and Rebounds then it is KG's defense vs Webbers passing.
