Did not need him at 4 IMO. I see Beasley part 2.0. Not needed. 6 round ok.
You get who you want when you want. Who cares about what round they should have got him? They didn't have a 5th round pick and have a late 6th round pick so they got him while they could. The pick screams to me that the Cowboys want to drastically improve their ST and big play ability and I have no problem with that because it's much needed. Sure, I would have liked a safety, but I feel like improving our ST is something that needed to be addressed as well. Now we have potentially a dynamic punt returner that can change the game for us when we need it instead of relying on Dak to engineer 80-yard drives all the time.

Another great pick by the Cowboys IMO. NE has win a lot of Super Bowls with a bunch of little Cole Beasley types. When a team has Dak, Zeke, Dez, and that OL, it means everyone else gets single coverage. Life getting easier for Dak. Trying to guard Beasley and Switzer man to man with an LB or S? Good Luck with that

I agree, but I think where Switz helps us most is the return game. Lucky had his shot. He failed miserably. I would have liked the Cowboys to draft a safety here, but I can't knock them for trying to fix the return game. Our return game has been nonexistent since Harris left. All three phases of the game are important, not just defense and offense. I'm glad the Cowboys have made a conscientious effort to improve our return game. Many times through the course of the season there are smash-mouth games like against the Vkings and Giants last year where you need a big play from ST to change the dynamic of the game. Or even in the playoff game last year after getting down 21-3. Sometimes you need a shot of adrenaline from your return game to either shorten the field for your offense or score a TD that gives you even more momentum, and the Cowboys just constantly got absolutely nothing from their return game.

Yeah, he is a great punt returner. And whether he is Beasley 2.0, or Edelman or Amendola...OK, where's the negative? I was pulling for S or DT, but the fact that they took this kid when they have no 5th tells me two things, one, they didn't feel there was a starting S on the board(or they've already drafted him) and two, they think this kid is legit

Kiper then asked McShay where he had Lewis on his Big Board and he said 35...said he could cover as well as anyone in the draft

And now he is going to have a big chip on his shoulder. This is going to be good. I actually feel better about the Taco pick. Two guys that can flat out play. Forget everything else........they come to win.

Nothing wrong with being wrong. We all have been wrong. I just disagree with you on where we took Switz. No 5th rounder was probably the reason why they just went ahead and nabbed him.

You made good points. That is why cowboy fans are so knowledgeable. I forgot about not having 5 too.

The Rundown: Woods started all four years at Louisiana Tech with 14 career interceptions and six forced fumbles. As a sophomore in 2014, he set a Bulldogs record with 230 return yards on six interceptions, including a 46-yard return for a touchdown.

Sounds like a hawk.

KD Cannon and Malachi Dupre still available, after Eagles took Qualls who was looking good for 216

I absolutely do not want this guy. Not because I don't like him, but because If he makes the team I'm going to have to figure out how to spell his name...
