Agreed. I'm rooting for him, but by no means do I expect him to really win the job. I think it is Sanu's to lose.

What could be interesting is if Shipley is PUP'd...A lot of people feel that Sanu is a more natural slot guy with his size, and lack of top-end speed and struggles at time to get off the LOS. Playing slot would really help give him an advantage in the speed area, size area, and most of the time, the slot is not covered immediately off the line.

Of course, then someone still has to step up and be the #2. However, from all I've read, Shipley has been cleared to fully participate.

Well, Sanu and Jones have differing talents... I kind of expect them to both be involved with no clear #2 guy being set until the end of the season.

Sanu is a terrific athlete -- Probably the guy we'd all gamble on for a punt/pass/kick contest on the team.

That said, it would help if he decided to play all 16 weeks this season.

I enjoyed reading this old thread.

Two notes:

1) Did we really go into a season hoping that Binns, Whalen, Tate, or two rookies would make enough of an impact at 2nd receiver? This was our plan? No wonder why some folks were scared about losing Simpson.

2) We all hated Tate after one season.... Yet, he's still here.

The coaches have really lost faith in Sanu, this makes Jones the clear #2 receiver if healthy.

because this is his website and he can do whatever he wants, lol.

I suppose that is true, however, I think I new topic would have been easier to find the new content, inspired more discussion and created more advertising displays for him had he started a new thread on Sanu's awesomeness, versus some 2012 tagged thread. I almost stopped reading after the first post, but wanted to see what inspired someone to bring this thread back up. *shrug* I was just curious on the thought process.

Come on, Kramer, how are you going to pass up an opportunity to talk about these Bengal Ballers?
