They are trying to force someone's hand into a trade. As for Jimmy G good for him as I think he takes over for Lance sooner rather than later. He is better than Trey Lance and once 100% healthy will knock him out as the starter easily if you ask me. Still it's only a matter of time before Jimmy gets hurt.

The Jimmy G developments are pretty wild on both sides. I guess Jimmy thinks he'll get a shot to play a lot later in the year if/when Lance falters. Probably a decent bet. Just think of how divided that fanbase and maybe locker room will be if Trey Lance isn't playing well while the guy who took you to 2 NFCCs in 3 years is sitting right there on the sideline. Never expected them to do this. I thought at first maybe it's just to make him more tradeable, but that doesn't seem like what they're doing based on how the insiders are talking about it.

We should have a thread about who will start in 2023, aka which QB will we be drafting

Spencer Rattler after Seattle trades back with Detroit for their 2 first round picks and a second in 2024.

I haven't watched any of the QBs yet, but 2 firsts and a second for trading down sounds like hitting the jack pot.....as long as they can still land a decent QB.

Well, if Seattle has #1 or #2, then 2 firsts and a second should be the minimum they look for. Detroit should be looking at a top 10 and a 20s picks, so I can see the hawks being enamored with 3 firsts in the draft.

Well I have to say that I doubt the Seahawks have either the #1 or #2, there are a fair amount of really bad teams in the NFL.

You don’t want Rattler. Maybe he was humbled by his benching this last season but he is one of the biggest diva QB’s I’ve ever seen.

That's just how much faith I have in Geno aka Hemp Sloth.

Not really. but I'm not as sold as some on here that after the top 2 that there's really all that much 1st round talent left. Maybe Levis? How about another Hall out of BYU? Maybe someone steps it up and gets drafted as a 1 year college wonder.

that's how you turn things around quickly. Hell if Seattle ends up with say a top 5 and 26th picks I say they trade that top 5 and try to pick up two firsts. That is if there is no QB worth taking or that they like. Having 3 first round picks would fix a lot of whats broken if they are smart about the picks ... but thats asking a lot from a group that has not drafted well in a long time.

Anthony Richardson had a good showing against Utah, fits the russell wilson mold if that is what they are looking for. but with 5" more height.

I'm with you that I like a lot of the QB's in this upcoming draft. Wouldn't surprise me to see about 4-5 of them go in the 1st round and all be worth that kind of pick. For me it is mostly just Rattler in general. He was on the Netflix series where they followed top QB prospects and he was absolutely the worst. Then his time in college I have heard hasn't been any better. Maybe his benching this last year will be that wake up call he needed, but I have my doubts about that. Talent wise the kid could be a star. Not sure he is worth the headache though.

I don't usually watch much of non-Husky college games, but watching Bama - Texas today.... if we take Bryce Young, I hope it's with Denver's pick. He does not look like an NFL starter against a tough D.

Sacks... 6.. meanwhile Wilson, 12.

OH but the Broncos OL is much better and going to be an improvement over Seattle, despite them starting two rookies. ............. :rolleyes2: What a bust trade for Denver. So glad Wilson is gone (and don't get me wrong, I wont forget what he did for us, but it was time to sell - Schneider was all over that one).

And now, Wilson has a shoulder injury - he said he's good to go... but I guess we'll see tomorrow if that's really the case.

Because he's also getting hit a lot even if he's not getting sacked...
