Makes me remember and think about what Pete Carroll said when they had Kaep in for a try out. " If we were looking for a starter we would sign him" " there is no reason a man like him should be 2nd string he needs to be starting for a team in the NFL" You all remember these comments?

Thing is the Flag is a symbol of freedom and equality, it's a ideal we all strive for, and kneeling at the flag is like spitting on the statue of Jesus in a church just because one person in that church offended you.

Where are you hearing this?
My co-worker in the office next to me just said he saw it on twitter... But I'm not finding anything so take with a grain of salt... I think he just pranked me...

I can't stand the flag kneeling bs. Just as before when we were working him out, adding Kaepernick to the team makes it a tough watch for me. I do not want to be in position where I am rooting for that guy on a football field after all his ignorant drama.

Watson did us a favor. But I think it tells you how the league sees this team right now, especially QBs.
They all saw how things went here for RW the last few years, probably put a call into him to get the true Hollywood story, then decide coming here to play for PC is not what they want even with Lockett & Metcalf.

I don't think that the Hawks are looking at Kaep but if they were, that would at least give me a reason to believe that they had a plan.
Stick with PC, trade away RW, and bring in Kaepernick to play QB? Haha, man that would bring me right up the brink of finding another team to focus on. There's one in Denver I'll be watching a lot more now anyway...

Gardner Minshew would be a good option and wouldn't cost you more than a 5th, maybe a 4th rounder.

Yes that would be so unpalatable ( bring in Kaep to play QB) that retaining interest in the team would be hard. I really find it hard to believe that such a move is being considered by the Seahawks and is just more click bait because it brings a strong reaction from fans. He hasn't played since 2016 and he looked bad then, seems ridiculous that this rumor is given any credibility.

I fully believe that they think Lock can be their guy.

I actually think that could work out nicely. Pete's going to try to win every game he can, we know that. So if he believes in Lock then he would be using the draft to build the rest of the roster and then the Seahawks could end up in a position to draft a actual franchise QB in 2023 and have a much better roster.

they like his arm strength

they must feel they can mold him into being a game manager and overcoming the tendency to make boneheaded plays.

Well nicely in that the team is going to be pretty mediocre next season so we will have a high draft pick again, although not likely high enough to draft one of the top guys without giving up a ton of assets.

IMO, I think Pete has convinced himself that all he needs is a QB that will follow his game plan and they will be successful. But unless the defense has a metamorphosis, I don't see how this is possible. We replaced one of the most accurate passers in football who prioritizes ball security with one of the least accurate passers who throws a pick a game.

But we will see next season.

if he ends up the starter, I imagine lock will be throwing 20-25 passes a game MAX, they arent going to give him too many opportunities to screw it up.

our draft picks will probably be almost all defense and OL. as it should be.

Seahawks have the draft capitol to build a good defense over the next two seasons.

Sure. They can potentially rebuild the entire team. But we are resigned to mediocre to bad football for the next 2 seasons barring something remarkable like Pete Carroll turns into the QB whisperer and turns Lock into a legitimate starting QB.
