I think coaches should be awarded 1 penalty challenge for the game, so instead of getting 2 challenges give 3 total. They can keep the same model they have now with the 2 challenges for ball positioning, TD's, turnovers, etc; but there needs to be at least no MORE than 1 penalty challenge where a play can be reviewed if there is a great discrepancy between the call and what was shown on replay. I don't think it would extend the game any longer than what it is now, however it would definitely help in getting it right at that moment than having an official league review later in the week. In which many cases may show that the officials made a costly mistake which cannot change the outcome since the game is over. I'm sorry but the piss poor apologies aren't cutting it; either the refs get it right or they get fired after so many miscues.
