Powe is the Flyers version of Helm. Maybe not as fast, but still has some get up, even if he has no way of utilizing it for hockey purposes. Nodl won the team's fastest skater in the skills competition, and he showed it for the first time ever in a game on Thursday to win a race, get a shot off, and run over Fleury to set up the game tying PPG. Way to go, kid. BR says Carter is the fastest. Maybe not top speed, but he has top 5 accerlation in the league. 0-60 in 2 strides without even looking like he's trying to speed up. Very deceptive.

All things considered, I'd vote Nodl, and even though he's in the AHL with I believe the Thrashers organization, no fastest skater thread is complete without Jared Ross. I would say he's the fastest skater I've ever seen, but he's too fast to see. Too small, too.

Apparently right now on the Sens it is AHLer Colin Greening.

In reality there isn't really a faster skater, off the mark with the puck, than Erik Kalrsson.

I've LITERALLY never seen a 19 year old with that first step!! I hope his brain catches up!!

EDM has quite a few fast players. I would think Cogliano is the fastest, but I know Ryan Jones and Paajarvi can fly as well. Hall is damn quick, but I don't think he's the fastest.

Usually for the Penguins it's Crosby, but now with the injuries it's probably either Letang or Kennedy. Orpik's a strong skater as well, but you never see it.
