I think the Sox winning in Games 4-6 of the ALCS was a little more thrilling, but there's a bit of homerism involved too. The 2016 Cubs run was an absolute blast and brought up a lot of positive memories from 2004. I'm very happy for Cubs fans, Theo and co.
of magnitude of it all it has to go to the Cubs. You just can't top 108 years, all they've been through, and then one of the greatest, if the THE Greatest game 7 of all of sports to top it off.
However, I rooted for that 2004 Red Sox team, this Cubs team was so ridiculously young I wanted them to get a little taste of coming up short before they won it all because they will be in the WS talk for years to come.
Both teams' comebacks were epic. I think the ALCS/NLCS goes to Red Sox and World Series goes to Cubs. But I thought the drama behind Red Sox was bigger. They came back vs hated rival and heavily favored Yankees. Red Sox were far laid back. The bloody sock. The ARod swat. And so on.
