Who does Mike Babcock have to blow to get a Jack Adams?

Mike has annoyed me a couple more times then normal this year. He's good at working a short bench but that's got to wear on him too. Oh well, THIS is the time of year to make that money anyway.


Although he does look like a genious for continually scratching Drew Miller before every goal he scores.

When a team is always at the top of their division and makes the PO's for 40 straight years, it kinda makes it hard to give it to him over other coaches who have less talent to work with, or overcome bigger odds to get to the PO's.

He's a system coach.

Wow, 3 full pages, and the 2nd post in the thread was the one that said what needed to be said.

I know IPW was being sarcastic with the system coach remark, but the first part is basically it. When you have a team that hasn't missed the PO's in over 20 years under 4 different coaches, there's a certain amount to be said for the quality of the organization as a whole that goes above and beyond the coach, which is why (fairly or not) Babcock gets overlooked.
