I would love to know what the consensus is on who we take?

I think I'd try and trade up for a difference maker with using our multiple draft picks.

I think Cooks might be the best WR in the entire draft, but he doesn't fit the Niners' offense. He's a terrible blocker.

"Need for Speed". He can play slot or outside and return punts. He would loosen up the defense and create more running room for Gore and Latimore. :agree:

now that we whiffed on CBs in FA Gilbert or Dennard

I don't think they whiffed, they targeted a guy early on and signed him. We might not like Cooks and might be scratching our heads but that was the guy they wanted.

He'll be fine, he'll play slot, run specialty plays and return kicks. He can work on his blocking through the season, there is no reason he can't become a better blocker.

They certainly didn't Whif. They resigned Boldin and Dawson and replaced Whitner. After their other moves this left them with peanuts to go tire kicking. Can't expect guys to just sign with us hoping to win a title, they want the dinero as well. After June 2nd we can see who gets cut or roll the cap space into 2015 where we will have like $30M plus to resign our bigguns.

My opinion we should go CB first and then WR. I would move up in the 2nd to grab one of the better WR prospects. Make sure we get our guy.

good news after june 2nd we will have another 5.5 million to spend(Rogers money comes off). So we will have like 8 million to spend if we don't sign anyone.

The best receiver or CB that's available. Does anyone still want us to trade up? And who would be the target?

I want us to trade up because Baalke has a much better track record when he targets his guy and moves up to get him than when he waits to see who falls. But I would probably try to move up only into the 20s.

I hear you and agree with this. I got excited at the prospect of Thurmond mainly because it would allow us the luxury of trading one (or more) of our early round picks into next year's draft.

I also think that Carolina's pick at 28 would be available for a trade up as well, if we wanted to move up using a combination of our 2's, 3's and 4th. They lost their top 3 wideouts, Gross, and Munnerlyn and they only have 7 picks to play with, all at the end of each round.

My pick would be a trade up for Evans. He has the skills to fit in as a 9er and gives Kap a target that can catch his darts and poorly thrown passes.

Id move up to get Evans if he falls out of top 10. Otherwise I'd move up to early 20s to get best WR or CB. I normally would say trade back down into second because draft is deep. But they need a stud not just solid player
