Who would pick him up? Who would pay him better than what he has now?
Don't know who would pick him up but I think he would easily get what the contract is worth (4 years $58M) or more plus moving to a team that is going to compete for a WS title which the Rangers aren't going to do during those 4 years

Perhaps the last two offseasons have shown mid-level players that the market may not be what they expect it to be unless they are one of the top 2 or 3 players in the league. Pitchers are starting to learn it, 30 year old middle infielders may also. His current contract already has him as the highest paid SS. Does he really want to tear that up? He didn't last offseason, so why would he now? He has to know that all he could do is add years, he won't be adding many dollars to the next 4 years. Smart move would be to stay a top 5 paid SS until 34 and then get as much as he can in his twilight years. Doubt many teams beat a path to pay him $15M+ for 5+ years.

I just think the chance to play some playoff games and possibly add a ring or 2 might mean more to him than playing on a bottom tier team for 3 or 4 years here. He might even take a pay cut to experience again before his career ends

Perhaps. I don't see Elvis uprooting his family and potentially giving up money to go chase a ring. If I were him I'd play out this contract and go chase a ring at 34 if that's what I want to do. But he has seen the team take care of Beltre and I'm sure that's something he wants too.

He has a legacy in this area and if somehow he gets a ring, it will cement it. Don't think he will opt out

Looks like Gallo to the IL, probably means Calhoun will get the call

BR is talking Colorado trading Blackmon and top of their list is the Rangers offering Palumbo, Hernandez and Burke. My vote is no to this

San Diego and the Chicago White Sox are linked to Mazara
