Important signing, glad they got an extension done. Would have liked it to be longer, but after watching Levi Jones implode after his contract extension, I understand their concern for long term contracts at that position.

He'll turn 30 this season and the Bengals already had him for a couple of yrs left on his old deal. this garuntees he'll be a Bengals through his prime yrs. I looked up recent elite Tackles (walter jones, orlando pace, willie anderson, ogden, roaf) and they all retired between the ages of 33-35. Whitworth will most likely be ready to retire by the time his right with the Bengals expire (2015)
