This game was lost when TLR made the decision to let Kopech start the game after Kopech complained hr didn't feel right before the first pitch. La Russa didn't even have a guy warming up in the bullpen until the bases were loaded with zero outs and Kopech throwing fast balls in the upper 80s. This is not to even mention placing Kopech's arm at risk for pitching through a physical problem.
