It was a brilliant game plan. Only 16 passes. Rivers was 12-16 for 128 yards. Might give a big nod to Rivers for his audibles too, but Whiz ends up looking quite good here. Not sure what this does for Gruden, or Zimmer.

It's one game. I don't think it does anything to raise or lower the profile of any of these guys. All 3 have been in the league for a while and their capabilities are well known. If Allen has them on a list of candidates, he already knows that they have to Xs and Os down. Question is can the lead a franchise, motivate a team, and ignore an owner.

I do like Whisenhunt and Zimmer, because of their experience as far as being able to handle the extra curriculars. Whisenhunt had jack squat to work with at QB in Arizona after Warner retired, and got a raw deal in my opinion. He has moved up in my list. My dark horse is still Todd Bowles, not just because he is a former Skin, but he has become a fantastic DC. Shut down Seattle's offense. Also, Arizona's offense is not very dynamic. Carson has been hurt and is pretty much a statue.
I am happy that we are not jumping the gun on any decision. Greg Roman might end up being the guy for all we know.

I like all these guys. Honestly, being a good coordinator does not necessarily mean you will be a good HC. Different skill set. Everyone on here says they want this coordinator or that one because they've done well as coordinators. A HC needs to be a leader. He needs to be a motivator. He needs to be a communicator. He needs to be a talent evaluator. He needs to be able to see the gem in a pile of shit and get that shit to perform. Most importantly, he needs to be able to attract and hire good asst coaches. Of course he needs to know football, but all these guys at this level know Xs and Os. I'm hoping that these are the traits that Allen is looking for.

Any long time Redskins fan could tell you that. The model for your point is definitely Norv Turner!
