Since AO is quickly approaching #3 Jagr figured I would check in on the 49 year old.

7g 8 A in 21 games playing on a line with a young Tomas Plekanec.

NOTE: if this guy Vitezslav Bilek plays on a line with Jagr and Plekanec their combine aged would be 125! I guess the geriatric line?

Bill Peters has been fired...Google translate below.

Yekaterinburg Avtomobilist announced the termination of cooperation with head coach Bill Peters, according to the club's official website.

“The coach, who has been leading the team for one and a half years, is leaving Avtomobilist. We thank Bill for his work in our club and wish you a successful continuation of your professional career! " - the statement says.

Peters has led the team since the 2020/2021 season. Together with the club, he reached the first round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs, where he lost to the eventual winner - Avangard (1-4).

Previously, Peters also led the Carolina Hurricanes (2014-2018), Canada (2016, 2018) and the Calgary Flames (2018-2019).

Wow - Murphy, Audette, Ferraro, Gilmour.. Lot of solid names.

If this was 1992
Seriously that roster is headed by a goalie that hasn't played in North America in over 10 years and the NHL in 13 years.

That roster made me realize there are way too many people in the world who don’t realize when they need to give it up and get on with their life’s work lol

also bear in mind that just because it's an international tournament, doesn't necessarily mean that it's a competitive one.
fuck, I'M playing in an international tournament in the springtime.

because it happens to be in Richmond, so it's a 15 minute commute.

Essentially they call items international and all you need is one team based outside the country. I used to play in an "international" Dek Hockey tournament, basically it was pick up teams from around the area, a few from Western NY and ONE from Niagara Falls Canada. So they called it an International tourney. Put it this way that team from Canada was like team Canada in the Spengler Cup. Essentially you fought to get second place since we all knew that team would win.

Like when restaurants call something "World Famous".

You are all all in the world. Have you ever heard of Box Hill Pizzeria's crab cakes? No. You haven't. Except Comeds, probably.
