Forte is better than Morris. Morris and Garcon are the only two people in Washington worth an effort to get, and Marshall and forte are both much better.

RG3 is smarter and more physically talented than cutler.

Cutler ran an option offense his freshman year at Vandy. Perhaps he needs to run more. :noidea:

Just think Josh has a better grasp of how this O should be run. Said this somewhere on the Bears board after his 1rst start.
He doesn't over estimate his arm, and makes good decisions.

Jay on the other hand has the capability to beat a D with 1 throw. And has done it enough in my witness,to garner a fat contract.
Has the gunslinger mentality that he can beat you on any given play. Which gets him in trouble sometimes.

Like what Josh is doing. Just wish some of it rubs on Jay.
Maybe watching how the O should be run for the last month. Maybe Jay gets the idea.

I'll go w/ Jay. But not for $20 mil a year, until he wins the prize.

Because his mental talent is nonexistent. He's football retarded. I don't care how physically talented he is if he doesn't understand the game.

This is a Calling the Kettle Black moment.

Definitely McCown. After that amazing performance he's shaping up to be the second best QB behind Foles.

In all seriousness....Cutler(healthy).

Tough to argue against McCown with the way he and the Bears offense has looked. Cutler may be on his way out next year.

If I were the Bears, I'd sign keep McCown and with the money saved by letting Cutler walk I'd shore up that defense.

I'd only pay a qb north of $15 million a year if I truly believed he was a Super Bowl caliber qb. Cutler turns it over way too much to be trusted IMO.

Totally agree, and I've been crucified for this view. I'd be totally content if both Cutler and Peppers were gone next year. Cutler is good, and has flashes of greatness, but is way way way too inconsistent to lead a team to the SB. Especially with this "defense", if you can even call it that.

Why is this even a question?

It's Jay Cutler. Josh McCown was a career journeymen back-up for a reason. McCown is playing great right now, but at some point he's going to become the guy that he has been for the entirety of his career.

The Bears, in my opinion, would be foolish to hitch their fortunes to Josh McCown for anything more than the rest of this year.

Jay Cutler

Why is this even a question?

The reasons that I asked this question are (1) how well McCown has played and (2) Cutler's history of turning the ball over and not giving his team a chance to win. Perhaps I'm wrong, but if I were a Bears fan, I think I'd have to favor McCown giving his team the best chance to win.

His history of turning it over? People are living in the past. You have to go back to 2009 the last time he had a season in which he had a big problem with INTs. He threw 26 that year which was terrible. The last 4 seasons, his INT rates have been fine. Check the stats. It has been several years since he's been a turnover machine.

Okay, just looked it up and I stand by my claim that Cutler has a pronounced history of turning the ball over too frequently, even since his 26 INT '09 season. Since then he has thrown 45 picks and fumbled 23 times in 48 games. Not exactly numbers that suggest to me that ball security is Cutler's strength.

looks like its Cutler:suds:

Jay Cutler (ankle) has been cleared to practice at full speed and will participate in Wednesday's practice.
Coach Marc Trestman said he'll make a decision on who his Week 15 starter will be after Wednesday's walkthrough and publicize it Thursday. Cutler will go through that walkthrough and then throw to receivers and move around the pocket following it. Trestman says Cutler will go through a "thorough" workout. Following last Monday night's win, Trestman reiterated Cutler will be the starter once healthy. We'll get an answer within the next 24 hours. Unless Cutler experiences a setback this week, it sounds like he'll be under center against the Browns. Josh McCown will head back to the bench after going 3-2 in five starts.
