2002-2008 Pac 10 sucks its just USC and the 9 dwarves (ignoring WSU, Oregon, Cal, Oregon State, UCLA, Arizona State all having at least 1 if not more 10 or more win seasons)
Pac 12 4 different champions in 7 years. Back to back for Stanford in 12 and 13. Oregon in 09, 10, and 11 (pac 10 and 12) but Pac 12 still sucks despite not being dominated by 1 team.
SEC multiple teams win conference They are the best because of parity.
SEC dominated by Alabama SEC the best because SEC has the best team.

East Coast bias?

Except you are wrong because media paints the BigTen as Ohio State and everyone else and have had two conference titles since 2010 and they paint the rest of the BigTen as trash. Up until this year at least.

I don't think the issue is that no single team dominates your league...

Depends on FSU. A team with top ten talent, returns it’s starting QB from injury and gets Clemson in Tallahassee where the ACC is decided.
My answer is Big12

When a blue blood is down, people look down on the whole conference.

See Michigan and he B1G as well as Jexas and the Big12.

SEC not applicable as long as Alabama is good.

Until Texas can right its ship. Oklahoma in the Big12 is the
one that goes unchallenged.

Only Texas, is in a position to recruit with OU.

Good teams usually win the games they are supposed to win.
Good teams are loaded with talented players.
Good teams will play "flat" one game a year.

The secret to winning is to play flat against a team with no talent.

Here's the recruiting for the teams in the leagues. 2015-2018 Rivals.
(And we haven't seen the 2018 kids on the field yet)

I used 20 as a qualifier for having elite 4 and 5 star players on the roster.

There are 5 schools in the Pac12 with a min of 20 elite athletes
on the roster.

USC 66
UCLA 40
Oregon 33
Washington 29
Stanford 28

Washington and Stanford obviously have the better coaching/development, but USC and even UCLA can play
match them for talent, along with Oregon.

There are 10 schools in the SEC with a min of 20 elite athletes
on the roster.

Bama 75
Ga 64
Auburn 57
LSU 53
Tx AM 46
Tenn 46
Florida 46
So Car 32
Miss 28
Miss St 23

You plsy flat one game in that league and you've got a fight on your hand, because there are teams with the talent to beat you.

The Big10 has 6 teams with a min of 20 elite players on the roster

Ohio St 69
Mich 48
Penn St 46
Neb 25
Mich St 23
MD 20

OSU can recruit and develop their players. Neb and MD can recruit,
but they've been lacking in developing.

However, Mich, Mich St and Penn St can recruit and develop
and compete with OSU because they have a talent level.

In the ACC there are 5 schools with more than 20 elite athletes.

FSU 62
Clemson 46
Miami 43
VPI 23
UNC 23

Dabo is doing a helluva job at Clemson. I could pull up threads
from early last season where I was critical of FSU coaching.

I've always been critical of Fisher. He was a paint-by-the-number
coach. You could read him like a book and the words were written
with foot-tall letters. All that fucking talent and he was just 14-12
vs Top 25 teams. Shit, there was very little development. He can recruit with anybody
but lord does he struggle with x's and o's. The
change can be for the better. (It can't be any worst)

Now comes the Big12. There are only two schools with more than 20 elite athletes on the roster. OU
and Texas.

OU 57
Texas 52

If OU had a DC it would be virtually impossible to beat them in that league. Nobody else would have enough talent to do it, even with a flat game by OU.

Texas...well it's not a secret that there hasn't been
any development at that school in quite some time.
If Herman is the real deal, then maybe OU will be
challenged by them. But until that happens this
is the league where the title is OU's to lose.

Nobody in the Big12 can "beat" OU. OU can "lose"
a game or maybe throw one away, but nobody is gonna "beat" them.

I was gonna go with "your eventual league champion sucks compared to other league champions"
sometimes but that can typically be said about any league.
Big 12 Oklahoma lost 2 Semis to other league champs, Baylor lost to UCF the American champ other years they didnt play them. 3 losses over 6 years
ACC Clemson 3 titles 2 losses to league champs 2 wins. FSU won 3 in a row 2014 lost to Oregon, 2013 beat SEC champ 2012 played and beat MAC champ 3-3 and a w over MAC
Big 10 champ Ohio State beat USC, Penn State lost to USC, Michigan State lost semi to Alabama, Ohio State beat SEC and Pac 12 Bama and Oregon, Mich State beat Stanford, Wisc lost to both Stan and Oreg. 4-4 over last 7
SEC champs UGA beat Ok, Alabama beat UW, lost to Clem. Bama beat Mich st and Clem. Bama lost to Ohio State, Auburn lost to FSU, 4-3 over last 5 years (played ND 12 that and each other in 11)
so compared to Pac 12 3-4 over the last 7 I mean nobody is drastically out doing anyone else.
There are a few games that could throw in the mix like Oregon beating Kansas State the Big 12 champ when Oregon was co division champ.
and of course Alabama winning it all without winning their conference.

i went with the ACC if what we are talking about is 'recent' history, say, since the playoff system has started ... Clemson has been really, really good and the other teams there are just so-so now that Fl State has fallen off .......

couldn't pick the Pac12 or the Big12 because I don't feel like either of those conferences have a clearly dominant team ... i feel like when they have had teams in the playoffs, they've sort of 'backed in' by default and not done well in the playoffs

couldn't pick the Big10 or SEC because I think Georgia is back with a vengeance and the Big10 usually has a 2nd or 3rd team that is up there pretty close in competition to Ohio State

an argument can definitely be made for the Big12 but I'm not sure Oklahoma is really consistently that great. They've had a good run the last few years even though i think they're always a tad overrated. TCU usually gives them a pretty good challenge and are closer to Oklahoma than anyone has been to Clemson recently, IMO

Clemson vs FSU has been a competitive rivalry for a while now. For the most part, every game is competitive. It was this time of year where everyone pick FSU last season to win the ACC

I mean Oregon won the Pac and then dominated prior years champ FSU but sure backed in and didnt do well

Let's be honest here they have practically run CFB. You should get on your knees and thank God for Auburn or they might have two more championships. Of course did you notice that Auburn has at least stopped them?

Anyone stopping Oklahoma in the Big 12?
Anyone stopping Clemson in the ACC?

Nope and nada.

Define great.

OU has finished in the top six in the polls six times over the past ten years.
