... if you had to?

Emmanuel Sanders v. Tennessee
Tavon Austin v. AZ
Kenbrell Thompkins at Buffalo

I'm leaning toward Sanders, but I'm tempted by both the other guys. What do you think?

My brain says go with Sanders since he's not a rookie; my gut says go with Thompkins because the Buffalo games have been shootouts in the past and Thompkins might be great - but then my brain says the Buffalo game may be a more low-scoring rushing game than in the past....

Sanders is the least likely to give you a zero. I guess that's all I got.

I think Sanders is the safest bet. I do think they try and get Tavon Austin going at home on that turf.

Sanders is the safest pick, but I just don't think he has a ton of upside.
Austin isn't safe at all, but does have upside.
Thompkins is somewhat safe and with upside.

I think I'd go Thompkins.

LOL There is certainly no definitively right answer ex ante! Thanks for the opinions posted. I am still leaning toward Sanders, since I agree with what seems to be the popular opinion that he is the safest choice. As some have mentioned, however, the potential upside of both Austin and Thompkins still might leave me with a game-time decision!

I'm going with Thompkins here. Rookie or not, he brings a lot to the table.

Dobson will outperform thompkins this season... Thompkins had a great preseason and now we are over reacting... go with the easy choice in emanuel sanders... with pittsburgh's running game as bad as it is, they will be throwing all game... predict big things for both antonio brown and sanders...

What's this based on?

Same thing every other preseason prediction is based on... nothing... Dobson was the better prospect, thompkins played better in preseason...

if you get return stats, go Austin
I think I'd go with Thompkins for week 1 since Gronk probably will still be sidelined, and NWE will be looking to make a statement in this game with all of the "Brady losing his top 5 options" talk in the offseason

I may not play Austin this week, toughest Defense out of all of them. Also Thompkins will get less looks with Danny A back in action, also he can forget about scoring if Stephen Gilmore is healthy enough to cover him.

So IMO Sanders, especially if your in a standard league...seems like the safest play. he won't get a ton of catches but with the D focused on Brown, he should score a TD.

I wish that were true, but Gilmore is out for about 6 weeks after wrist surgery.
